Submit your POSTER for consideration

The informal interactive process between a poster author and an interested, knowledgeable audience is probably the most beneficial aspect of scientific conferences. Authors can give and receive so much diverse information about their work in a short period of time. AAPB will feature poster presentations on Friday, May 14, 2027.

Hotel Reservations

Host Hotel: Galt House Hotel, 140 N. Fourth Street, Louisville, KY 40202

Overlooking the Ohio River in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, this hotel features a full-service spa and 6 restaurants. It is adjacent to the Louisville Arena and offers free Wi-Fi in public areas and AAPB guest rooms. Galt House Hotel offers spacious, modern rooms with air conditioning and views of the city and river. They are furnished with a cable TV, coffee maker and work desk. Guests of Galt House Hotel can work out in the rooftop gym, and shop in the lobby stores. XHale Spa-Salon is located on the 17th floor and there is a UPS store inside the business center. The wide selection of restaurants and bars at Galt House Hotel include RIVUE fine dining restaurant. Louisville International Airport is a 12-minute drive from the Galt House Hotel and airport shuttle can be arranged by the hotel.

Room reservations will be made by your attendees on an individual basis. Individuals must visit here  or contact the Toll-Free Reservations at (800) 843-4258. To qualify for the Group Room Rate, attendees must make their reservations by Saturday, April 19, 2027, identify themselves as part of AAPB and provide the hotel with guest name, home or business address, email address, requested type of room, requested bed type (i.e. king, double/double, queen, or suites), check-in and check-out dates. Any requests for special room arrangements must be made at the time of this call. Reservation includes:

·       Wireless internet service in all guest rooms, lobby and common areas

·       Complimentary use of Club 360 Fitness Center for overnight guests of the hotel

Cancel Policy: All reservations must be accompanied by a credit card or other method of payment.  Guaranteed reservations can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival date.  No-shows and late cancellations will be charged for one night’s room and tax.

About the Meeting

The Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback's Annual Scientific Meeting provides a forum for the sharing of research, clinical strategies, and theoretical formulations across all facets of applied psychophysiology -- biofeedback, heart rate variability, neurofeedback, and evidence-based self-regulation. 

This international assembly of professionals represents an array of disciplines, including psychologists, medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, educators, academic researchers, nurses, speech pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, Masters-level practitioners, students, and others with an interest in the study of and treatment delivery using this modality.

The 57th Annual Scientific Meeting of AAPB will showcase recent innovations in how we conceptualize and address a variety of disorders using biofeedback. The foundation of our meeting is always rooted in evidence-based practice -- using the best evidence and research findings to guide the clinical delivery of health services. The need for standardized assessments of clinical efficacy and effectiveness for feedback-based therapies is imperative - today’s research climate has higher standards for efficacy and effectiveness than were current during much of the time in which biofeedback and neurofeedback evolved.

The Goals of This Meeting Are to:

1) Highlight recent innovations that speak to a multifaceted and contextualized understanding of the evidence-based science of self-regulation and its effects; 

2) Engage a discussion about the state of research and practice; 

3) Feature contextually focused interventions; 

4) Identify key avenues for future research; and to demonstrate how appreciating these processes and impacts can inform a more comprehensive approach to improving the lives of individuals.

The Annual Meeting is also where professionals gather to see old friends and respected colleagues, meet new ones, and develop and strengthen collaborative relationships to move the field of biofeedback forward. 

New members, active members, non-members, and students are invited to submit proposals and attend the meeting. International participation is strongly encouraged.
